I am writing to formally notify you of the World Chiropractic Alliance’s decision to withdraw its association with the United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI) and any organizations affiliated with it, especially UNRWA.
The World Chiropractic Alliance has been proud to be recognized as the only non-governmental organization (NGO) Chiropractic organization in the profession worldwide, affiliated with the United Nations Department of Public Information. However, recent events have led us to reassess our continued association.
The allegations of antisemitism and the reported involvement of UNRWA employees in activities linked to Hamas, including the attack on October 7th, 2023, are deeply concerning and in direct conflict with the principles and values upheld by our organization. As an advocate for peace, justice, and humanitarian values, we cannot continue our affiliation with an organization facing such serious allegations of war crimes.
Considering these circumstances, we believe it is in the best interest of the World Chiropractic Alliance to disassociate itself from the United Nations Department of Public Information and any affiliated organizations. We are committed to maintaining our organization’s integrity and upholding the principles that guide our mission.
We appreciate the opportunities and collaborations that have arisen during our association with the United Nations DPI. However, the gravity of the allegations and the need to take a principled stand against actions inconsistent with our values require us to sever our ties.
Please consider this letter as our official notice of withdrawal. We kindly request that all records and acknowledgments of our association be updated accordingly. My liaison to the UN has been Dr. Peter Morgan and another doctor he has recruited to serve attending monthly meetings on the WCA’s behalf. They will no longer be representing WCA.
We thank you for your understanding in this matter and remain dedicated to promoting health, well-being, and peace in our global community.
