New book spotlights 20 chiropractic legends

Chiropractic Revealed," by David K. Scheiner, DC, has its debut this month and offers the profession a unique chance to share the wisdom and insights of 20 of the most renowned chiropractic legends alive today. Interviews with leaders such as Drs. Reggie Gold, Jim Sigafoose, Pat Cerasoli, Terry Rondberg, Guy Riekeman, Claudia Anrig, Gerard Clum and Thom Gelardi cover a wide variety of topics. The subjects talk candidly about their childhoods and introductions to chiropractic as a career, their mentors, and what they had to sacrifice in order to dedicate their lives to chiropractic.

But they really burn holes in the pages when they talk about how and why the chiropractic profession is so misunderstood and what doctors have to do to get it back on track. "There were no holds barred when they got started," says Dr. Scheiner. "Some of their statements are quite revolutionary and even shocking, but they all said things we need to hear if we're to save our profession."

Others interviewed for the book include Drs. Jeanne Ohm, Joe Strauss, John Demartini, CJ Mertz, Armand Rossi, Donald Epstein, Arno Burnier, Larry Markson, Fabrizio Mancini, Tony Palermo, Christopher Kent, and Patrick Gentempo.

"No one is going to agree with everything that's said in this book, that's for sure," Scheiner adds. "But what these legendary leaders have to say is important and will definitely start a stimulating dialog that can have a profound impact on the profession."

In the book's foreword, Reggie Gold, DC, notes that "Chiropractic as it is today is the result of the way chiropractors themselves have viewed their profession. With the publishing of this book, David Scheiner has given us the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the experiences and opinions of some of chiropractic's legendary pioneers and best-known figures."

Scheiner is a 1996 graduate of Life University and has been in private practice in Georgia for 12 years. He recently embarked on a writing career and is already at work on two additional books, one sharing success secrets of well known chiropractors, and one directed to the public.

"I've always had a strong desire to find ways to more fully express life and wholeness, both physically and spiritually -- and to help others reach that same goal," he explains. "Chiropractic allowed me to realize that aspiration, and now writing will allow me to bring the true chiropractic message to the world."

"Chiropractic Revealed: One on One with the Great Masters of a Misunderstood Profession" sells for $24.95 and is available at www.ChiropracticRevealed.com .
